UX-Evaluation: Motion Sickness - 2d
VR surgery simulation and post-operative 2D analysis are currently separated.
Hypothesis
H0: VR surgery with magnification quickly induces motion sickness, necessitating separate 2D PC analysis and preventing VR-based analysis.
UX Evaluation
Participants
- 20 students
- Mixed VR experience levels
Test Conditions
A: Current approach with Valve Index
- 5 surgeries
- analysis in 2d
B: Full VR with Meta Quest
Measurements
- Motion Sickness: SSQ
- Usability: SUS, task completion time, error rate
- Preference: Post-test interview
Success Criteria
Hypothesis confirmed if:
- Significantly higher motion sickness in Condition B (p < 0.05)
-
60% prefer Condition A
-
20% higher error rate in VR analysis
Safety
- Abort if SSQ >40 or FMS >7
- 30-min break between conditions
Expected Outcome
If confirmed: Maintain separated workflow If rejected: Develop integrated VR analysis
